Miami Heat 121 Oklahoma City Thunder 106

(Heat Win Series 4-1)

Wow what a turn of events for this NBA Finals. Here the Thunder were able to get the best of the Heat in game one, but then never recovered after the game two loss. The Heat go on to win four games straight against this young Thunder team, who I don’t think we’ve seen the last of in the NBA Finals.

Lebron James gets to be called champion after all these years of hearing how he couldn’t win the big one. He wasn’t the best player last year during these same NBA Finals, and couldn’t get the Heat the win they needed last year. But this time around, he did it.

He was the best player during the regular season and looked even better during the playoffs. How many guys put together a triple double in a game clinching NBA Finals game? Only 4 guys before Lebron James last night. His 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists should be enough to quiet critics for a bit. I thought it would take that type of game for Lebron to get his championship.

Interesting to think this will be Dwayne Wade’s second one, who definitely came around after that series with Indiana. He ends up with 20 points and 8 rebounds in this game.

Chris Bosh the third piece to this “Big Three” helped along the way in this game with his own 24 points. And how about Mike Miller with 7 three-pointers. All of Miami worked hard for this win. Now Miami has won two championships in the past ten years, not too bad for a team that never seemed to be around the playoffs and especially not around the Finals.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Miami Heat

(Heat Lead Series 3-1)

How Miami Wins the Game

This is exactly the position the Heat wanted to be in with a close out game tonight in Miami. With as well as they’re playing, it looks like they will be able to take care of the Thunder tonight, Lebron James has a great game, and some haters can get off his back. It’s almost too easy to predict. This is probably the type of game that Lebron James can get critics off his back if he comes out strong and finishes with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists or something along those lines. This is the game that all those people will think that James has to come out and carry Miami to a win.

How Oklahoma City Wins the Game

The Thunder had things going in that first quarter, but then struggled the rest of the way. What was working so well then? This is the game that Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant need to both have monster games. Durant might have to pull off that type of game where he played the whole game against San Antonio, and even then they might not win. That’s almost a testament to how well Miami has put together a game plan for this Thunder team. Westbrook will need to get everyone involved and continue to get his own points. The defense of the Thunder has to slow down Lebron James if they want a shot to stay in this one.

Prediction

I’m going to predict a Miami win in hopes that Oklahoma City proves me wrong. Usually my predictions don’t work out that well, so Miami should win this game by 5-10 points. Playing at home in this close out game and with the threat of having to travel back to Oklahoma City for another game, I do think Miami will be the better team tonight.
