What better way to come alive than this evening against the Atlanta Hawks. This week would be a great time to find that stroke as the Pacers face off against Minnesota and Milwaukee. Milwaukee is a team in shambles, so if there’s ever a game where Paul George could look for his shot, that’s when he should.
He could also step up on the defensive side if things aren’t working offensively. He’s a guy that’s going to go out and guard the best player on the opposing team. Defense doesn’t get the notice it should, but us fans here in town keep track of it, and if George can stop that guy on that other side, maybe other people will take notice.
I would like George to step up in the aggressive manner as well, and look to drive to the basket more. He’s a guy that doesn’t get to the free throw line as much, but if he can look for that contact in the line, he’s more likely to get those calls. Plus, look how well he finishes around the rim, why wouldn’t you want him to get more aggressive at the basket?
He just needs to refocus that energy into his game, and I believe he’ll get back on track. The Pacers will need him at full strength come playoff time, so now’s the time to hone the skills. Now’s the time to get the shot falling. Now’s the time to lock down on defense as we know what the task will be come playoff time. Paul George has made many leaps this year, but I am sure he’s got a few more in him.
