Indiana Pacers (1-0) vs Charlotte Bobcats (0-0)
The season continues tonight for the Pacers as they travel to Charlotte in what should be a win for the blue and gold. Charlotte Bobcats: Preseason Preview” href=”http://alwaysmillertime.com/2012/09/03/charlotte-bobcats-off-season-recap/” target=”_blank”>Charlotte doesn’t match up against this caliber of a team in the Pacers. The Pacers have the big men in Roy Hibbert and David West that can take advantage of the Charlotte post players. David West came through huge in the fourth quarter on Wednesday night, and I would love to see more of the same.
This would be a great game for the Pacers to get their line ups more solidified as Gerald Green adjusts to his starting role. I would believe he gets the start again tonight, and going against weaker competition should give him the confidence he needs. Paul George should look to be that aggressive type as he put up 10 points in the first quarter in the win against Toronto. He’s going to be called upon for his scoring in the absence of Danny Granger.
You know what player could have a great game as well? Tyler Hansbrough. I am not sure what it is, but he always has a good game against the Bobcats. In eight games against the Bobcats, he averages right around 13 points, which is higher than his career average of 9 points. He had 22 points in a win against the Bobcats last season. So look for him to have another good game.
The road won’t be easy for the Pacers as they steer their way without Granger. But with a team as bad as the Bobcats are, life should be easier tonight. Look for a Pacers win in the 10 point range. Things might be tight in the beginning, but I believe the Pacers will pull away in the fourth quarter, and jump to 2-0 with the season home opener tomorrow night.
