Maybe the window for Boston hasn’t closed yet as Kevin Garnett agreed on a three year deal to stay with the Celtics. This move gives the Celtics some room to work money wise. It also gives a good piece back to Boston in Garnett, who really upped his game during the playoffs. If he can stay healthy this coming season, no reason to think Boston won’t get back to the playoffs and make another run.
Raise your hand if you’re tired of Dwight Howard stories. ::Raises Hand::
But this is a story, and I feel obliged to report it. Word is that Howard wants a trade to the Brooklyn Nets, which I feel like he would only want if he knows Deron Williams is going to be there. Obviously Howard needs a number two man, and if Williams isn’t going to be there, what’s the point of going to Brooklyn? I just think Howard or whoever is thinking for him needs to get their act together and decide where he’s playing at. Why keep this going on about staying in Orlando, but not staying in Orlando?
Roy Hibbert received an offer of four years 58 million from Portland today that if he were to sign, the Pacers have three days to match and retain Hibbert. I’ve said my feelings on this a few times already, but the Pacers need to match the offer and pay Hibbert.
Gerald Wallace signed a four year deal worth 40 million, so there’s that. Not much else to think or say about that deal.
