Well, another win for the Spurs as they continue to roll through the playoffs. This continues to look like it’s the Spurs championship to lose, which is something they’ve not done in 20 games. That’s right, the Spurs are on a 20 game winning streak. To me, that’s so impressive, and this game wasn’t even as close as the score would make it look.
Tony Parker leads the way with his 32 points, and the Spurs as a team shot over 50% from the field. Once again, you shoot the well, you’re going to win the game. The Spurs outscored the Thunder in the first three quarters to give themselves a comfortable lead and hold off the Thunder’s rally in the fourth.
This Spurs team just has it all working, and who knows if the Oklahoma City Thunder can figure out the right defense to play? So far, whatever they are doing isn’t working. And with only a day between games, there’s no much time to figure it out.
Going back home for Oklahoma City might help them with some adrenaline rushes and starting out strong, which might be something they will have to do. They were down in this one 19-9 early in the first quarter. It’s tough to climb back when you’re done ten points and the game hasn’t even started. It’s almost demoralizing to the team, and you have to mentally get yourself back into that game. The Thunder just looked mentally out of it once the Spurs kept pouring it on, even when the Thunder got within six points. The Spurs just added a few points and it was back up to a double figure lead.
This Spurs team looks so much better than the other three teams, and I’ll say it again, this looks like their championship to lose.
