Looks like the real winner of this series is the Miami Heat as now they have an extra couple of days before the Conference Finals start on Monday. But the winner here has tomorrow to get to Miami, and then plays Monday night.
This series to me has been the most surprising one of the NBA Playoffs. I thought for sure Boston would be able to take care of the Sixers in five games. With as well as Kevin Garnett was playing, the Celtics needed to keep feeding him the ball as there’s not much the Sixers would be able to do.
But here we are at game seven, and who knows if the Celtics are as good as I thought they were. They weren’t able to put away the Sixers when they could, and now that team should have all the confidence going into this game.
I don’t think anyone was giving the Sixers a shot in this series, so they can go out and play carefree trying to win this game. There’s all the pressure on Boston as this one is in Boston, and you can only imagine those fans if the Celtics lose this game at home.
It should be one of those fun playoff atmospheres, where both teams might seem tentative at first, but things will pick up as the game goes on. I am going with a Boston win as I figure they’ll get their act together for the game tonight, and I’m going to say they win by double figures.
