Philadelphia Sixers 82 Boston Celtics 81
(Series Tied 1-1)
The Sixers pulled even in this series with a late layup by Evan Turner to put them ahead for good. After getting outscored by 10 points in the third quarter, Boston had the scoring edge in the fourth quarter 32-25, but it wasn’t enough. Now the series shifts to Philly, where the Sixers should have some confidence going as they lost the first game by only a point and won this one by a point. So maybe not super confidence, but the Celtics might make me rethink my prediction of them winning in five games.
(Thunder Lead 1-0)
I am not surprised by this score as I thought the Lakers would be hurting from that seven game series and only a day off from there. Sure, the Thunder had a week off, but they just look and feel like the better team. Russell Westbrook put up 27 points an Kevin Durant added his own 25 points. The Thunder shot over 50% for the game, which should win you many games. It also helped when looking at the quarter breakdowns, they put up 30 in the first, 29 in the second, and 39 points in the third quarter. Even getting outscored by one point in the fourth didn’t make this seem like the Thunder broke a sweat against the Lakers. Now they just have to put this effort together for three more wins, and the Conference Finals are there.
