We’ve already put up Miami Heat vs. Indiana Pacers” href=”http://alwaysmillertime.com/2012/05/10/round-2-playoff-series-preview-miami-heat-vs-indiana-pacers/”>one preview, but I wanted to take some time and give out my thoughts on this series. This could be such a great series for the Indiana Pacers with a win to show they’re for real and ready for that next step. I think being competitive and forcing this series longer than what experts are saying could be beneficial, like the Bulls series last year.
But ultimately, the Pacers are the underdog in this series, and that can be a good thing since no one is expecting much out of them. Even looking at ESPN, and one expert, Jon Barry, says the Heat in 4 games. A few others have the Heat in 5 games. There are a few guys left who say the Heat in 7 games, which shows they’re giving the Pacers some chance in this series.
It’s a tough one to predict because you look at the regular season meetings, and the Heat dominated in two of the games. Then get a Dwayne Wade shot to fall in overtime to win a close one. Then the Pacers dominate on a Monday night in March, and win the last meeting by 15. So yes, I am giving the Pacers a good chance of somehow pulling this out.
Here’s bold prediction time, and this is definitely a fan pick, but hey that’s what I’m here to do. Pacers win in 6 games just like in 2004. You heard it here, the Pacers can and will win this series. How’s that for an ending? What do you think comes out of this series?
