Chicago Bulls 103 Philadelphia 76ers 91
I am sure by now, you’ve heard Derrick Rose is done for the rest of this post season, and probably won’t play for a while next year. This is horrible news for the Bulls as he’s the heart and soul of this team. Now who do they go to in crunch time? Luckily, this Bulls team has played most of their games without Rose as he’s had four different injury situations this season. The Bulls should be able to pull it together for this series, but who knows after that?
Miami Heat 100 New York Knicks 67
The Heat look like they’re primed for a long run with this dismantling of the Knicks yesterday. Lebron almost outscored the Knicks on his own early on in the game. He ends up with 32 points and a bunch of other stat stuffers. Dwayne Wade put up 19 points after coming back from a dislocated finger. The Knicks had a horrible day from Carmelo Anthony as he shot 3-15, while Amar’e Stoudamire was 2-7. Those guys will have to do better if the Knicks even want to compete with Miami at this rate. The biggest blow to the Knicks was losing Iman Shumpert, who torn his ACL, and will be out 6-8 months. What a crazy day in which two guys go down that are very important to their teams.
Oklahoma City Thunder 99 Dallas Mavericks 98
Kevin Durant gets the game winner in the final playoff game of the night, and probably one of the better ones. He goes for 25 points, while his counter part Russell Westbrook put up 28 points. Serge Ibaka got scoring as well with his 22 points. Ibaka as usual got 5 blocks on the evening as well. Let’s see if the Thunder can put away the Mavericks in game two, and get done with this series quickly, so they can focus on the next round.
