Pacers-Bucks: Revenge

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, NBA, Pacers, Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Indiana Pacers look to get revenge on the Milwaukee Bucks tonight on the road. They had the game throughout three quarters, but lost it all in the fourth when they last faced Milwaukee. They lost by a few points, and at home. Now they look to get revenge as Indy hopes to improve to 10-9 while the Bucks fall to 7-14. The Bucks are coming off a 88-78 loss to the Miami Heat while Indiana came off a 124-100 rout of the Toronto Raptors, where Brandon Rush came up big. It took Indiana until the New Year to win [...]

Sebastian Telfair to the Knicks?

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA, Popular, Preview/Prediction, Rumors | COMMENTS: None Yet

Jonny Flynn will be returning next week, which means that the Minnesota Timberwolves look to move one point guard so they can have a limit at four. Luke Ridinour will stay, but whoever will be on the move will either be Sebastian Telfair or Sundiata Gaines. But if Flynn plays really good, coach Kurt Rambis considers only having two point guards. “We have to see what the best two-guard situation is for us,” Rambis said. Gaines may leave, but Telfair wants minutes and he could be gone as well. The Wolves will try to release him or trade him. A [...]

Pacers-Raptors Recap: They Are Clicking

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recap, NBA, Pacers, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

Brandon Rush had a huge game, leading the Indiana Pacers with 26 points. Rush is clicking, and so is the rest of the Indiana Pacers squad as all contributed well to the team’s rout of the Toronto Raptors, 124-100. Indiana now improves to 10-9 as they only trail one game behind the Chicago Bulls for the Central Division lead. Last season, it took Indiana until the starting of the new year for the season to reach ten wins. Now, they got it before Christmas. Danny Granger had a good game, too, with 21 points. He also had nine rebounds and [...]

Is This Kevin Garnett’s Last Season in the NBA?

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA, News, Popular, Preview/Prediction, Rumors | COMMENTS: None Yet

We have all heard about the lockout rumors. The NBA could be heading into one as well as another major league, the NFL. After a great win over the Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics’ power forward Kevin Garnett said that this season could may very well be his last. “At some point, especially with the lockout coming up … Who knows if this is my last year, or (if) we don’t play next year, what it’s going to be,” Garnett said.. “So I’m trying to enjoy the guys now.” If Garnett does in fact retire, he’ll be known as one of [...]

Pacers Set for Victory As They Host Raptors

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, NBA, Pacers, Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: None Yet

The 9-9 Indiana Pacers will host the 8-12 Toronto Raptors. The Pacers are off to their best start in three years and have been getting a lot of love from the media. They are looking great this season. However, coming off of two losses in their road trip against the Western Conference, they can’t play like they did against the Phoenix Suns. They need to get to business against Toronto. Indy struggled with turnovers and they can’t let the Raptors take advantage of that. Indy finished 2-2 on the road-trip, but could have gone 3-1. “We’re not a happy group [...]

Home Sweet Home: Cleveland’s Top 10 Anti-LeBron James Signs

AUTHOR: | IN: Editorials, NBA, Popular, Rankings/List | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

When I was watching the Heat-Cavs in the fourth quarter, I realized how much Cleveland really does care about their basketball team. Either that, or they really, really hate LeBron. Nevertheless, even though they were down by around 30 in the second half, they were still booing James as loud as they were in the first couple of possessions. He wound up silencing them with his performance, but the hostile environment still left a lot to be talked about. What he did to this city, the city he grew up in (well close to it anyways), is incredible. The Cavs’ fans haven’t [...]

Pacers Look to Get Back on Track Against Eastern Conference Opponents

AUTHOR: | IN: Editorials, NBA, Opinion, Pacers, Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Pacers have been out west for the last four games, which ended in a 2-2 record. After beating the Lakers and Kings, they fell to the Jazz and Suns. They will now return home to face the Toronto Raptors on Monday night at Conseco Fieldhouse. Seven of the next eight games will be against teams from the east, but the one game against the western conference will be a rematch with the reigning NBA Champion Lakers, whom they beat in L.A. to start that four-game West Coast trip. Needless to say, they will be salivating at the opportunity to [...]

Butler, Duke Re-Match From March; Duke Wins Again, 82-70

AUTHOR: | IN: College, Game Recap, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

It was a re-match of last season’s National Championship. The Duke Blue Devils were leading, 61-59, over the Butler Bulldogs. The Bulldogs were the Cinderella team entering this match-up, but the Blue Devils came out on top with their great veteran experience from coach Mike Krzyzweski. Gordon Hayward had a chance to win the game for Butler, almost making a half-court shot to win the game, but it barely missed! With Hayward gone, the Bulldogs hoped to bring revenge still on the Devils. It was basically a game going back and forth. But later in the game, star-player Shelvin Mack [...]

Pacers-Suns Recap: You Can’t Win a Game with That Many Turnovers

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recap, NBA, Pacers, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

25 turnovers. Wow. You can’t win a game like that with that many turnovers. The turnovers committed fueled a loss for the Indiana Pacers and a donated victory for the Phoenix Suns. Indy had the game well within their grasp, but couldn’t hold on. It was as if the Pacers were the Coyote who was winning, but would just somehow lose in the desert to the Roadrunner, which were the Suns. The Suns needed this game. At 9-9, Phoenix was on a roll and they had to get above .500. Meanwhile, Indiana was already above .500, having a 9-8 record [...]
