There’s a thread heating up over at Pacers Digest about tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz. Many of the folks agree that it is a schedule loss. Listen, I have to be honest, but even I don’t think Indiana may win. But I am going to go along and say that Indy will win 99-94, in my opinion, and shock Utah.
BillS had an interesting thing to say over at the thread:
If we lose it certainly isn’t worth the diving off the bandwagon that will likely happen.
Now, if we win, the wagon won’t be big enough.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Indy loses. It won’t mean a lot, as they will be 9-8. It’s also a different coast along with the fact that Danny Granger is still battling with the flu. The guy is coming off a huge night, but will the team have enough energy to stop Deron Williams and Paul Millsap? Let’s hope so. But hey, then again, I wouldn’t be all that surprised with a win, either.
Both teams have been playing great defense, and the Jazz look to aim for their seventh win in a row while Indy looks for their fifth. The Jazz are 14-5 and they are clearly one of the top three teams in the West, knocking off the top teams earlier this season with the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Hornets. However, they also lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder, led by the amazing performance by Russell Westbrook, who led a comeback against the Pacers not too long ago.
Accu Score says the Pacers have a 34-percent chance of winning while the Jazz have a 66-percent chance.
Match-up of tonight will Roy Hibbert versus Al Jefferson. That is going to be real fun to watch as the league’s top centers face off. Darren Collison will need to know what is coming to him in the league’s best point guard. Granger has to go up against Andrei Kirilenko, but I see Granger for another big night, despite his flu. I really hope to see Josh McRoberts land a big dunk of Millsap.
Close win for Indy as they improve to 10-7.
