You said it, Odin is only 22 years old. By the time he is ready to get back on his feet, he'll be 23 or 24. I don't think that this most recent fracture will hinder his return, but it certainly won't help get him a good deal, nor will it allow him to come back to be the unstoppable force that he once was thought to be. But hey, take a look at Ilguaskas. He wasn't really expected to be a starter, but his predecessor at the center position just isn't cutting it in both the rebound and points-in-the-paint department. Joel has been around for a few years, but really lacks development.
Yao's delayed return really hurts the Rockets, simply due to the fact that they just don't know who they are as a team. When Yao is there, they seem complete on all fronts, pushing the ball into the paint or firing from outside. Their overall game seems to really be there, especially when Brooks, who is more than proficient at guard, is not injured. But with Yao out, they are still lacking a dominant force on the inside because, hey, Miller is just a little worn, and everyone else isn't worn enough. The flip-flopping that Adleman has them running, with Yao in one game and out the next just doesn't seem to bring consistency to their game and by the looks of their record, isn't bring the wins either. I can only say thank Heavens for Luis Scola.
