Tyler Hansbrough was able to play last night, his first time on the floor in a very very long time. He scored nine points in 19 minutes and showed a lot of energy and determination in the Indiana Pacers’ 93-86 pre-season loss to the Orlando Magic.
He also had three rebounds.
“It felt good,” Hansbrough told The Indianapolis Star. “It felt like it’s going to take me awhile to get in a rhythm. You can practice, but there’s nothing like getting back in a game.
“It feels good to be back on the court and as part of the team. It’s going to take me a minute to get back in the groove of things.”
“He played with energy, which you can always expect from Tyler,” said head coach Jim O’Brien. “He has a long ways to go before he’s going to be a contributor. He has to catch up with the concepts, catch up with five-on-five basketball. But he’ll give you the passion and intensity that you’re looking for in a player.”
