The deadline to extend Brandon Rush’s contract will be on the 31st of October. It could be a spooky Halloween night for Rush, as it is possible that he may not receive an extension at all.
But he is working hard and will try to make up for the five-game suspension he was received from the NBA after having a scuffle with drugs.
“I do think it could play a part a little bit, but I’m trying not to worry about it,” Rush told the Indianapolis Star. “I should be fine as long as I come out here and show I’ve been putting in the work and I’ve changed my lifestyle. Everything should work out fine if I do those things.”
Meanwhile, Mike Dunleavy will be the shooting guard.
Rush could become a free agent or he may stay for a lower price next season. Time will tell.
Indy will enter next off-season with a lot of cap space, so it could impact a lot for Rush.
