The Chicago Bulls could be one stop away from becoming one of the most dominant teams in the NBA. They could be right up there with the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers. And all it takes is one deal, and that is for current Denver Nuggets‘ small forward Carmelo Anthony.
Melo made his wish list of what teams he would like to go to. Currently, the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls top his list. However, the Nuggets say that the Bulls are a 1A, while the Big Apple is at 1B. Chi-Town it is? I guess so!
For the past three days or so, the Nuggets have pushed it through the trade talks and are exploring the deals, but more towards folks like the New Jersey Nets, Knicks, and of course the Bulls.
However, what Denver really wants is to Carmelo to change his mind and sign the extension with the Nugs. Point guard Chauncey Billups is really pushing Anthony to make his move of staying in the Mile-High city. It’s a Mile-High decision for Melo.
The Nets are willing to trade Kris Humphries and recently-acquired power forward Troy Murphy, along with a future-first-round draft pick, for the 26-year-old forward.
The Bulls look to package Joakim Noah and a draft-pick or make another package featuring Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, and draft-pick. Or there could be a little twist to it. It would be nice for Chi-Town to acquire somebody like Carmelo, considering the fact that the team has a guy like Derrick Rose on the squad as well.
“Everyone has [their] own opinion. It’s funny. It cracks me up,” Anthony said on his Twitter. “When I know something … you guys will know something.”
On Another Note….
The Chicago Bulls have acquired former Boston Celtics‘ power forward, Brian Scalabrine.
