via www.nba.com The Indiana Pacers finally made a big move in the off-season other than in the NBA Draft. They traded away Troy Murphy, who went to the New Jersey Nets. This went along in a four-team, five-player trade. I think Indy benefited the most, getting the needs that deeply needed to have. Obviously, they finally got the point guard they badly wanted in Darren Collison. Collison striven as a rookie last season when filling in for the injured Chris Paul. The second-round pick of the 2010 NBA Draft for the Indiana Pacers was arrested for beating his girlfriend at his apartment. According to what the prosecutors have said, Stephenson was waiting for his girlfriend, Jasmine, to come inside his apartment room. Jasmine came in along with two of her friends. From ESPN: After seeking a point guard for several months, the Pacers acquired Darren Collison in a four-team swap last week. But he comes with injury. According to Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star, Collison has a fractured finger on his right hand. Wells added that Collison said he’d be out three-four weeks, so he should be ready for Pacers’ training camp at the end of September.

The USA Basketball team wasn’t very big on size today, but had a lot of speed in them against China in a scrimmage game. Danny Granger showed that he belonged on the team, scoring 22 points as he led Team USA to victory over China. It happened today at Madison Square Garden Arena, where USA put up a huge scoring night, blowing out China 98-51. USA only played with one center that game, but even though they lacked size, they made other teams look foolish in speed.
