Dimemag.com interviewed me recently. Check it out. Here’s a little excerpt: After making headlines with their acquisition of Darren Collison and James Posey last week, the Indiana Pacers and their fans have something to cheer about for the first time in a long time. The trade provides them with a very promising point guard and championship veteran experience. However, the task of improving is a never-ending job. The Pacers’ President of Basketball Operations, Larry Bird, has openly admitted that the team was not done making moves for the summer. Behind the Scenes
Is It Finally Time to Shine?
via www.nba.com The Indiana Pacers finally made a big move in the off-season other than in the NBA Draft. They traded away Troy Murphy, who went to the New Jersey Nets. This went along in a four-team, five-player trade. I think Indy benefited the most, getting the needs that deeply needed to have. Obviously, they finally got the point guard they badly wanted in Darren Collison. Collison striven as a rookie last season when filling in for the injured Chris Paul. He will be the point guard of the future and can create points and some other great breaking plays. [...]
via nbcsportsmedia1.msnbc.com We all know the story about what happened with point guard Lance Stephenson. The second-round pick of the 2010 NBA Draft for the Indiana Pacers was arrested for beating his girlfriend at his apartment. According to what the prosecutors have said, Stephenson was waiting for his girlfriend, Jasmine, to come inside his apartment room. Jasmine came in along with two of her friends. Stephenson said, “Are you kidding me?” and pushed her down the stairs. Then, once she fell on the last step, Stephenson punched her. It was a story many Pacers’ fans should be disappointed about since [...]
Collison Out 3-4 Weeks
From ESPN: After seeking a point guard for several months, the Pacers acquired Darren Collison in a four-team swap last week. But he comes with injury. According to Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star, Collison has a fractured finger on his right hand. Wells added that Collison said he’d be out three-four weeks, so he should be ready for Pacers’ training camp at the end of September.
Posey, Collison Introduced
The Indiana Pacers finally introduced James Posey and Darren Collison to the Pacers. Pacers Crate recently sat down with them:
Lance Stephenson Arrested
Larry Bird was very disappointed of the latest news that has just happened. According to the Associated Press, Indiana Pacers’ second-round draft pick from this year’s draft Lance Stephenson was arrested for hitting his girlfriend. Stephenson will be playing point guard this year, but these latest events could make a twist and turn things around for the young prodigy. According to the police report, Stephenson pushed his girlfriend down a flight of stairs and then beat her at the bottom step. The 19-year-old out of Cincinnati was released from jail with a bail out worth $7,500. The confrontation happened when [...]
Awesome Web Hosting
Web hosting can be a hassle. There’s no way to precisely project incoming traffic, for starters. Also, if your server gets rocked by an influx of traffic or is for some reason experiencing technical difficulties, you want someone you can get in touch with no matter the time of day. Easier said than done, because even in the age of cell phones, texting, Twitter and Facebook, it can be hard to track down family and friends, let alone the help at your hosting company. Fortunately, we here at FanSided haven’t had those problems since we started working with exclusively with [...]
Front Office Tells Granger Pacers To Trade For Big
From Real GM: Danny Granger spoke about Indiana’s plans to make more trades this offseason. “We’re not done yet,” Granger said Saturday. “I talked to management, and we’re not done yet. What will happen, I don’t know yet. We’re still mulling over it. But we got a few things still up our sleeve.” The Pacers now have a void at power forward following the trade of Troy Murphy. “We’re going to have to go after another big, I’m sure,” said the 6-foot-8 Granger. “Losing Troy, he was great. I can play the (power forward) but I’m not a true (power [...]
Danny Granger Helps Lead USA over China in Scrimmage
The USA Basketball team wasn’t very big on size today, but had a lot of speed in them against China in a scrimmage game. Danny Granger showed that he belonged on the team, scoring 22 points as he led Team USA to victory over China. It happened today at Madison Square Garden Arena, where USA put up a huge scoring night, blowing out China 98-51. USA only played with one center that game, but even though they lacked size, they made other teams look foolish in speed. USA showed stamina, speed, acceleration, and many many others in the scrimmage against [...]
