Rolle To Be Signed
Magnum Rolle performed well for the Indiana Pacers during the team’s Summer League. As the 51st pick of the NBA Draft, Rolle was traded to the Pacers. He has a lot of high hopes. But many wonder if he will be under contract soon. “He will be invited to training camp. I anticipate he will be signed before camp. We like how he played in the rookie camp and also what he showed in the Summer League. He is here in Indianapolis, working out on his own. There is a reasonable chance he will be with us when the season [...]
Dunleavy on the Block
It came to surprise to some that T.J. Ford will not be traded or on the block. But, surprisingly, small forward Mike Dunleavy is on the trade block even though he plays well in Jim O’Brien’s system and offense. Though it doesn’t come to much of a surprise due to the fact that Dunleavy has been through some injury problems lately. Dunleavy also takes a bunch of cap space with his $10.5 million.
Vertigo
From ESPN Insider: The Pacers have officially classified Tyler Hansbrough‘s injury as an inner-ear infection/concussion, something he’s been struggling with since December, according to Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star. But Hansbrough is also suffering from effects of vertigo. In a recent interview on NBA TV, Pacers coach Jim O’Brien said that Hansbrough “still has a little vertigo,” according to the paper. Wells writes that vertigo gives a human the abnormal sense of spinning or movement when no movement is occurring. “It can impact athletes pretty significantly,” Dr. Vincent Ostrowski of the Midwest Ear Institute told the paper. “These are [...]
Granger Makes USA Team
According to Indianapolis Star’s Mike Wells, Danny Granger has made the Team USA National team squad for the FIBA World Championships. Granger will be headed to New York. The team will be training in August from the ninth to the 16th. They will prepare for the game against Turkey next month.
Can Tyler Hansbrough Step It Up?
Tyler Hansbrough came as a bit of a shock when he was drafted 13th overall for the Indiana Pacers. Larry Bird was showing signs that he was already going to draft him. Hansbrough performed well in the workouts before the draft went down. When Hansbrough was drafted, many had already doubted him from the start. And the 2009-10 season was something Hansbrough should forget. He only played 29 games and missed most of the season with a very bad ear infection. It didn’t go well at all. He averaged 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
The Indiana Pacers’ Point Guard Dilemma
This is a guest post written by Max Minsker of hardcourtmayhem.com/max The Indiana Pacers have a huge problem at the point guard position. They have a solid roster all together, but they don’t have anyone to run the point. They were shopping their 10th pick in this year’s draft for a point guard, but obviously no one bit. At the beginning of next season the Pacers may very well be stuck with Lance Stephenson running the point. Stephenson has impressed so far, but is seen as more of a scorer than a distributor. He played point guard in high school, [...]
Will Paul George Start?
Lance Stephenson was announced the starting point guard of the Indiana Pacers. Nobody saw it coming. The fans just assumed that he would just be some back-up shooting guard. But Stephenson lighted up and earned his spot with the team as the starting point guard. But guess what? Paul George did the same thing. He lighted it up for all the Summer League games. Doesn’t he deserve a starting spot anywhere with the team? The 6’8″ athletic specimen can play both shooting guard and small forward. It’s kind of like Tracy McGrady. I know it’s early, but it can happen.

Mike Wells writes why Troy Murphy hasn’t been traded yet: Two words: Hansbrough and Foster. Both those players (Tyler Hansbrough and Jeff Foster) only played in a handful of games last season and the Pacers aren’t about to roll the dice and just unload Murphy because he’s an expiring contract. Plus, here’s what ESPN Insider wrote about A.J. Price:
Bird the Worst GM
SB Nation ranked the top 30 GM’s and put Larry Bird at 30. Surprised David Kahn isn’t there. You can read more at http://www.sbnation.com/2010/7/22/1582380/nba-general-manager-rankings-pat-riley-heat
Why So Much Neglect to T.J.?
The Indiana Pacers re-signed T.J. Ford as their first task during the off-season. It was a one-year deal as Ford had a player option but decided to stay. And if he left, not so much interest would come to him. And this surprises me. I mean, nobody had interest in him and the Pacers don’t have a lot of it in him either. I mean, they are trying everything to find a guy to start over Ford. And people say that some of the success the Pacers had last season was off of benching Ford. A lot of the fans [...]
