More Rumors

AUTHOR: | IN: Draft, News, Offseason, Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: None Yet

Here is what I read from ESPN Insider’s NBA Rumor Central: The Indiana Pacers are in a rebuilding mode and could be a free agent player in 2011 if all the players with expiring contracts after next season are not retained. Those players are Mike Dunleavy ($10.56 million), T.J. Ford ($8.5 million), Jeff Foster ($6.65 million), Solomon Jones ($1.5 million) and Troy Murphy ($11.96 million). The Pacers can also use all those expiring contracts to make trades. Mike Wells of The Indianapolis Star has some thoughts about the draft and Murphy. Wells writes: “The Pacers want to trade some of [...]

Rumors Flyin’

AUTHOR: | IN: Opinion, Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The unpredictability of the offseason is one of the few exciting things about being a fan of a rebuilding team. Because we have no idea what is going to happen, we can take every rumor and start going crazy thinking about all these different deals. The draft is deep with big men. Most mock drafts have PF and C flying off the board all throughout the lottery and early teens. So if you are a team looking to add frontcourt depth, this is a good draft for you, but if you are picking in the 20s, you may be out [...]

What If: The Pacers Acquire Darren Collison

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: None Yet

Written by Evan Massey After seeing the rumors when I woke up this morning on the possibility of the Pacers trading the #10 pick to the Hornets for Darren Collison, I just had to write up an article about it, so here we go. The Pacers desperately are in need for a starting point guard, and if they were to acquire Collison that would fill that need completely. Not only would he bring a young player that could start for many years to come, but they would be trading for a young player that put up Chris Paul like numbers [...]

Pacers Mock Draft

AUTHOR: | IN: Draft, Opinion, Popular, Preview/Prediction, Rankings/List | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Indiana Pacers are coming off a year where they drafted Tyler Hansbrough and A.J. Price. The second-round pick in Price outperformed Hansbrough. Could the second-round pick for this year’s NBA Draft outperform the first-rounder for the Indiana Pacers like in 2009? I guess we’ll find out. Here is what I think the Indiana Pacers should do for this year’s draft. So without a further ado, here is my Indiana Pacers mock draft. Enjoy.

Interpretation of Suroundings | Lakers-Celtics: They Are Not Oblivious

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, Opinion, Playoffs, Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: None Yet

BY KRISHNA DHANI In the past games, we have seen hard work and determination by both teams. We have also seen how they are enforcing their emotions on the court. It’s gotten them many wins at the same time, also. It’s what made Paul Pierce and Kobe Bryant, in Game Five of the NBA Finals, set on fire with the ball. It’s what made the Celtics take a 3-2 series lead and the Lakers determined to play more crucial and vigorous game upon them. These teams have been emotionally well-behaved. They controlled their emotions and put whatever stress has gotten [...]

Major Areas of Extensive Errors within the Celtics and Lakers

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, Opinion, Playoffs, Popular, Preview/Prediction, Statistical Analysis | COMMENTS: None Yet

Written by Krishna Dhani The NBA Finals are going on, and there are major errors and violations upon their playing. If these teams aren’t going to increase their stamina and excellence upon their game, they are just going to win by luck. There are so many errors where if one team repairs them and the other doesn’t, we can already determine the victor.

If They Drafted Somebody Else: Primoz Brezec

AUTHOR: | IN: Draft, Offseason, Opinion, Popular, Preview/Prediction | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

This marks another installment in “If They Drafted Somebody Else” series. A couple of days ago, I did Shawne Williams. Today is somebody else. Let’s begin. In the 2000 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers selected Primoz Brezec as the 27th overall pick of the draft. Brezec was a star center from Slovenia and looked to be an important player for the Indiana Pacers. At the time, European players were getting popular to draft and so Indy went with the gig, drafting Brezec. Brezec never lived up to expectations and never had a chance to prove what he could do for [...]

The Indiana Pacers had an okay draft last year. Tyler Hansbrough has a few years to prove himself and A.J. Price has stepped up big. But that was until he busted himself at a charity game. The 2009 Draft was successful off of trades. They got Brandon Rush and Roy Hibbert out of that. Rush has one more year to prove himself until he is considered a bust, and like Pace Miller said in his PacersPulse.com post: that’s being too generous. But Hibbert has stepped up big in has last two years and can turn into one of the most [...]

The Udoh Report

That is Udoh’s scouting report. Good enough for tenth overall and for Indy? I say so.

Tyson Chandler to Leave Charlotte?

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency, News, Offseason, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

Written by Evan Massey A source close to the situation told ESPN.com that Bobcats big man Tyson Chandler is seriously considering exercising an early termination option on his contract this summer. If Chandler terminates his contract early, he’ll forfeit the remaining $12.6 million he’s due from the Bobcats and become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. Chandler, who is now 27 years old, had his best year during the 2007-08 season averaging 11.8 ppg and 11.8 rpg while shooting a scintillating 63 percent from the field. At the time he was considered one of the best defensive centers in [...]
