Hibbert to Have More Offensive Production?
The Pacers didn’t draft a point guard, but they will get one soon hopefully. Or move Lance Stephenson. JUST DO SOMETHING! But Mike Wells says that could change Roy Hibbert’s production. He was more into the offense of the Pacers last year, producing 11.7 points per game. We could see more. Here’s more from Indy Star’s Mike Wells: The Pacers have had a tendency of forgetting about the big fella down low in the past. Hibbert would even make subtle comments about them not playing inside-out last season. … That can’t continue to be the case. The Pacers have to [...]
BY KRISHNA DHANI LeBron “Akron Hammer” James, as we all know, has left and gone on free agency from the Cleveland Cavaliers. In ways, this is an opportunity to gain his legacy and to make and finalize a legacy of his diligence, where he will be known and where he will settle for any further mistakes. This is an opportunity to unveil the real LeBron James. To un-sheath his power of basketball and to be known and settle with a legacy of a lifetime and to be known as one of the greatest players to even join the NBA. He [...]
What I Expect from Paul George
Right now, excuse Magnum Rolle, but I think he is just going to be a backup power forward for right now. Nothing big, but no offense. Right now, let’s talk about the other draft picks. With the tenth pick, as we all know, we were for sure going to draft Gordon Hayward if it weren’t for the Utah Jazz. As much as I hate to say it, they were indeed going to do that. With Ekpe Udoh and Hayward gone, it took the pressure off of Indy as they probably had to choose between guys like Xavier Henry, Patrick Patterson, [...]
Draft Reaction Part 2: State of the Pacers
The beauty of the NBA offseason is that you never lose. I am an overly optimistic type and I take anything I can get and just run with it. And the best part is nothing can tear the optimism down in June, because there are no losses. I texted my Pacer fan friend this morning, “Dude, I love Paul George! Next McGrady!” He quickly responded, “He was 2nd team all WAC” Ok, so maybe I’m overly optimistic, and this isn’t a time for overoptimism(is that a word?) if you’re a Pacers’ fan. The draft added new pieces to a broken [...]
Draft Reaction Part 1
Yesterday (Thursday) was a long day. I woke up in the morning with big expectations. Something was finally going to happen. As a Pacers fan, we have had nothing to get excited about since the season ended, but the last month has brought a new energy. Every day almost we heard a new potential deal that the Pacers were working on which would bring something new to this desperate franchise. Join the forum discussion on this post
Pacers Draft Paul George
The Pacers have taken Paul George from Fresno St with the 10th pick in the draft. He is a high upside guy, who is long athletic and has good range. The Pacers are now deep at the wing and are still looking for an answer at the point.
Draft is Today!
Draft Day
We have finally arrived. The NBA Draft is tonight, and we are guaranteed to see some changes happen with our Pacers. Honestly I’m jittery just waiting to find out what happens. Rumors keep popping up, and it seems the Pacers have discussed a trade with almost every team in the league. Chances are, if the Pacers get a deal done, we won’t find out until during the draft tonight, because most trades depend on certain players being available at certain slots in the draft.
Pacers-Wolves Update
Apparently the Pacers and Wolves aren’t done talking about making a move which would put Jonny Flynn in Pacers uniform. Stay tuned
Wolves turn down 10th pick for Flynn
The Pacers’ roster is exactly the same today as it was when their season ended a few months ago, but they certainly haven’t been quiet. We fans have been able to entertain ourselves with all kinds of possibilities thanks to rumors that have been surfacing every few days. It appears the Pacers are talking to anyone and everyone, and almost anything is in play. The rumor today is that the Pacers were hoping to deal the 10th pick to Minnesota for point guard Jonny Flynn.
