Fixing the Pacers Begins With Honesty

AUTHOR: | IN: Pacers | COMMENTS: 18 Comments

By Chad Smith A team will never say that they are tanking a season, but the Pacers really should. Honesty goes a long way with the fans, and quite frankly, the Pacers are fortunate that the Indiana faithful are still supporting the franchise. The team has been a disappointment every year for the last decade, and the fans are still looking for signs of positive change. There has been quite a bit of change overall, but whether it is positive or negative is in the eye of the beholder. The roster has been revamped multiple times, and the front office [...]

The Ugliest Jumpshots In the NBA

AUTHOR: | IN: Pacers | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

By Chad Smith All I hear about during the games today is how JJ Redick has perfect form, and Ray Allen’s form is so smooth. Look at how his feet are spaced evenly and the release and the follow through. Okay, now what about those guys that you see shoot, and you just think to yourself, how can they shoot like that? I’ve played a ton of basketball in my life, and I have seen some of these guys, and I just shake my head. Looking at some of the guys from the NBA, it just makes you wonder where [...]

Game #63 Recap: Little Brawl, Big Loss

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Recap | COMMENTS: 7 Comments

The Pacers had this game. They could’ve won this against the Suns. But the lost it. 113-105 was the score. There was also a little brawl in the game, as Channing Frye did a weird foul and then ended up punching Danny Granger in the face. It was not that big of a brawl, but damn, these guys gotta calm the hell down! Roy Hibbert went crazy and looked scary to fight with but Steve Nash calmed him down. Troy Murphy had a great game, putting up 19 points and 16 rebounds in the game. Grant Hill was the leader [...]

Game #62 Recap: It’s Pacers Vs. Nuggets, Did You Know That?

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, Game Recap | COMMENTS: None Yet

Yeah, I know that. I expected a loss, and I was right, they lost. Danny Granger did play well, putting up 32 points. I know this recap is kinda late, but still, I gotta show you the score: 122-114. It was much better than what I expected, I can tell you that. Way better score than the Blazers and Lakers games. Well, it was a loss. Now it’s time for them Suns. They can win. I won’t be surprised. Come on Indy! Man have these latest games been tough, huh?

Guest Post: Remember the Paint?

AUTHOR: | IN: Statistical Analysis | COMMENTS: 12 Comments

Written by Ian Levy from Hickory High As a fan of Danny Granger and the Pacers, this has been a frustrating season. This summer all the talk about Granger centered on his recommitment to defense, and his developing dribble drive game. I know he has been playing better lately, but on the year as a whole his defense has been inconsistent, and I have seen Danny in the paint about as often as Jeff Foster. I enjoyed every minute of Danny’s All-Star performance last year, but in some ways I feel like it has stunted his development. He spent an entire season worrying about the quantity of his points, [...]

Game #61 Recap: Summing It Up With a Pic

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, Game Recap | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

So many things wrong with this picture. Pacers get killed 102-79. Way off on my prediction of Indy winning. Next game will most probably be a loss tomorrow vs. Denver. Come on Indy. Do some stuff!

Game #60 Recap: Bleh

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, Game Recap | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Oh sorry people, I just woke up from a nightmare where some guy named Kobe and his team that consists of purple and yellow colors killed my beloved Pacers team. I just got a creepy text message from ESPN, might be a prank: Los Angeles 122, Indiana 99. It was a horrible game I saw on the highlights in my dream. Troy Murphy, though, had 17 points and and 13 rebounds which was good for Indy. Oh well. It was just a dream. But then I went on NBA.com and so many other sites and it was true. That game [...]

Talkin’ Hansbrough, Solomon Jones; Also Game #60 Preview vs. Lakers (I Know…Yikes!)

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Preview, News | COMMENTS: 39 Comments

Currently, these three things I’ll be talking about today will not be very…well, good, for Pacers fans. This news is not going to happy unlike my other enjoyable posts, right? Eh? Heh? Meh? Okay, yeah, we get it. Let’s just head to the stuff. First things first, let’s start with Tyler Hansbrough… This just bothers me. Tyler was just some real tough guy who can take anything and play every game when he was with his beloved North Carolina Tar Heels. Apparently, this has not happened with the Indiana Pacers. With just over 20 games to go with the NBA [...]
