According to the L.A. Times, if the Amare deal fails for the Cavaliers, the Murphy deal may still be intact:
If Cleveland and Phoenix are unable to work out a deal, the Cavaliers reportedly have agreed to acquire Indiana forward Troy Murphy for Ilgauskas and Hickson. The team that picks up Ilgauskas would probably waive him, allowing him to go back to Cleveland in 30 days while providing salary-cap relief.
I wouldn’t mind having this trade. It would work out well. Hickson has been very impressive so far. He could be used as a great backup and the Pacers know where they can turn to at power forward and center with Ilguaskas. I think Indiana should put Roy Hibbert at PF and Ilguaskus at C. Do you realize how dominant this team will be in rebounding?
Man, that would be something. The Pacers do need help in the boards so I think this is a very beneficial trade for both teams. I say they should do this if the Amare deal doesn’t work, in which there is a strong chance that it won’t. Come on Indy! Make the move. We need it.

Gotta enjoy New York Mets - despite recent decisions:-)
