Pacers-Raptors Recap: Bosh Delivers, Indiana Doesn’t; Fall 117-102

AUTHOR: Josh Dhani | IN: Game Recap | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

This was really sad for the Pacers. They were very close in this game, but then with the minutes winding down in the final quarter, the game was out of hand. The Raptors just took all the control at the end. Indiana never really led this game. Chris Bosh was on fire with 26 points and 15 rebounds. The biggest contributor to the Pacers was sad: Troy Murphy with 14 points and only eight rebounds.
“Bosh was just too much for us,” Pacers coach Jim O’Brien said. “He played like he normally plays. He’s a great basketball player.”
With the Celtics struggling [...]

Statistical Analysis: How Do the Pacers Fair With Other Teams?

AUTHOR: Josh Dhani | IN: Statistical Analysis | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Below is a chart of how the Pacers fair out against other teams, courtesy of Basketball-Reference:
Now, as you can see, this chart is impossible to see like this. I’d recommend that you click on the image, or open this link in a new window. The chart is split into two. The line starts right before the “FG” mark in the middle somewhere. This shows you what the Pacers have been doing so far against these 29 teams.

Pacers-Raps Preview: L.A. and Cleveland Didn’t Turn Out So Well, How About In Toronto?

AUTHOR: Josh Dhani | IN: Game Previews | COMMENTS: 8 Comments

Pacers: Indy Cornrows, Eight Points, Nine Seconds, Pacers Pulse, Pacers Place
Raptors: Raptors Republic, Jurassic Hoops, Raptor Blog, Raptors HQ
Okay, I am done with those silly little charts now. Getting a little annoying. Just wanted to point that out. Those Lakers, Cavs games were just nothing to talk about. That’s why my recaps were a bit, well, you know—stupid (kindergartner: “That’s a bad word!”). But anyways, now that that is out of the way, let’s focus on these Toronto Raptors.
It’s been reported that Chris Bosh will not be traded, once again. So that just leaves a bigger hole for the [...]

Murphy Knows He Could Be On the Move

AUTHOR: Josh Dhani | IN: News | COMMENTS: 24 Comments

The NBA Trade Deadline is fast approaching. February 18th can not get here any sooner! Pacers strongly-contributed power forward Troy Murphy knows he could be traded. Many rumors have been going at the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have been most linked to Murphy along with Wizards’ Antwan Jamison.
“It’s a business and I understand there’s a possibility that I could be moved,” Murphy told The Indianapolis Star. “I can’t get away from the ongoing rumors because Travis Diener is right next to me (in the locker room) and he is always informing me of what’s being talked about.”
Murphy has been averaging 14 [...]

Pacers-Cavs Recap: Indiana Falls to 16-31 In a 94-73 Loss

AUTHOR: Josh Dhani | IN: Game Recap | COMMENTS: 14 Comments

God this game irritated me so much, I just can’t forget this game. The Pacers didn’t compete. They just didn’t try. Shaquille O’Neal dominated Roy Hibbert and Troy Murphy in the post. Shaq had 22 points and eight rebounds. LeBron James played the toughest, with 23 points, ten rebounds, and 13 assists. He also was in the blocking business four. He is making his newfound religion stand at lebronthereligion.com.
Towards the end of the game, both teams just jacked up three’s. The Pacers only hit 6-of-25 three-point attempts, 24%! The Cavs were no better with 7-of-22, but hey, they got the [...]

Pacers-Cavs Preview: A Team With 30 Losses Faces a Team With 30 Wins

AUTHOR: Josh Dhani | IN: Game Previews | COMMENTS: 9 Comments

Pacers: Indy Cornrows, Eight Points, Nine Seconds, Pacers Pulse, Pacers Place
Cavaliers: Cavmen, Cavs: The Blog, Fear the Sword, King James Gospel, LeBron the Religion, Real Cavs Fans
You can’t explain the title any better! The Pacers host this game with 16-30 record. 30 losses as you can see. The Cavaliers enter this game with a 36-11 record. That’s 30 wins! So that means the title is right, right? Of course it is! But anyways, after seeing that Lakers game—which wasn’t pretty, believe me—it’s hard to have a lot of confidence beating the Cavaliers when Cleveland got L.A. 93-87 a few days [...]

Pacers-Lakers Recap: Don’t Worry

AUTHOR: Josh Dhani | IN: Game Recap | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

Don’t worry my friends. Worry about what? First of all, don’t worry about this loss. Yes, we got destroyed, but hand it to Kobe with a nice performance. Hibbert helped Indiana, as I knew he would, with 21 points and six rebounds. But here’s another thing to worry about…
This site will be hitting it harder than ever, hopefully starting tomorrow or Friday, on the posts. No more short and lazy recaps/previews. Time to get real. But hey, I knew there was a loss coming. The Pacers just should’ve went on the cool bus.
But hopefully against Cleveland, they’ll get a win [...]
