The Pacers have signed forward Rod Benson, swingman Demetris Nichols, and forward Lawrence Roberts to their training camp list. The contracts were reported to be non-guaranteed.
Right now, it seems that Tyler Hansbrough will be sidelined for the first few games of the season. “Certainly we would hope to have him toward the beginning of the season,” coach Jim O’Brien said. “We think that would be the best case scenario. … There are different levels that he has to achieve on a weekly basis in order to take that next step. He has improved dramatically since it was diagnosed. If it continues to improve like that he’ll have a full season, we hope.”
Mike Dunleavy, who played 18 games last season due to a knee injury, will nt be practicing much often due to the injury still. “I definitely feel good about where I’m at,” Dunleavy said. “I didn’t think with all that has happened that I would be here this day being able to participate in training camp.”
